Child Sight Network (CSN)
Child Sight Network (CSN) is a cooperative network of non- Government and non-profit organizations network sharing concerns for childhood blindness and intends to alleviate the situation. More than 30 grassroots and national NGOs approved a terms of reference in August 2006 for CSN, a network maintained informally previously for three years by CSF.
Goals of CSN are to provide medical care and referral services, to establish a right-based society and an enabling environment in Bangladesh through expertise and information to prevent childhood blindness.
The network is being managed under Bangladesh Childhood Blindness Campaign (BCBC), a project technically and financially supported by ICEH, LSHTM and Muslim Aid UK. The network has 11-member a Working Group and activities include training, expertise sharing, case detection, joint facilitation and advocacy, distribution & dissemination of health promotion materials, observing national events and special days.
