The Wahida Matin Memorial CSF Child Vision Centre is a specialized eye hospital for children in the centre of Dhaka city was established in August 2008. The center is supported by Dark and Light Blind Care, Netharlands. The mission of this hospital is to conduct sight restoring cataract surgery provided by well-trained professional staff to children referred at the village level via the Key Informant Method pioneered by CSF. Counseling is provided to the parents or caretakers of blind children prior to and following corrective surgery. In addition, the CSF Hospital conducts epidemiological and qualitative research with support from the International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) and conducts frequent program monitoring and evaluation.
The hospital achieves these aims via:

More generally, CSF works through a public health approach and a unique community outreach process. CSF is passionate in its vision that no child in Bangladesh should be deprived of basic medical treatment including cataract surgery. To actualize this vision, CSF continues to work tirelessly towards the goal of the establishment of a rights based society for blind children at the national level. In order to assist these aims, CSF has links with eye hospitals, paediatric ophthalmologists, and disability-specific service providers and is a key member in relevant forums and associations
The hospital aims to conduct the following activities:
